Our Hukou plant is situated on a hillside platform, facing the risk of rainwater mixing with wastewater during heavy rainfall, which could potentially cause overflow at the downstream wastewater treatment plant. Additionally, the high-concentration process exhaust gas from the Hukou plant has not been successfully introduced into the RTO treatment system. We have currently commissioned the Industrial Technology Research Institute to conduct a special research project, but a solution to this issue will take time.

Due to the company's growth and expanded production scale, the production volume has exceeded the initial design capacity. To ensure the company's legal and sustainable operation, we reinitiated the environmental impact assessment in 2021 and submitted it to the government regulatory authorities for review. Following the procedures of the environmental impact assessment, we invited nearby residents, representatives, and government agencies to attend a public hearing. To fully comply with the requirements of scholars, experts, and government agencies, our company has attached regular environmental monitoring data on the plant perimeter, chimneys, wastewater discharge, waste, groundwater, and soil to the environmental impact assessment report submitted for review. Moreover, the company has actively implemented relevant communication and assessments, and its operations account for approximately 15% of all operational activities.

To give back to the community, our company is committed to road adoption, including the maintenance of a 2,000-meter section of Zhu12 Line and a 528-meter section of Xiangxi Trail. We conduct at least four inspections and environmental maintenance activities each month to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the roads. In addition to road adoption, the company provides scholarships to Hukou Elementary School every year. Other philanthropic activities include donations to the Hujing Voluntary Police and Civil Defense Association, the Firefighters' Association, the Water Source Land God Temple, Hukou Sanyuan Temple, Hukou Yishan Care Association, Hukou Community Development Association, Yangxiwo Land God Temple, Xiangxi Zhusheng Niangniang Palace, the Fire Bureau, and the Hsinchu County Good Deeds Movement Association Hukou Branch.
