Message from Chairman
In the face of the dual challenges of extreme climate and the COVID-19 pandemic in recent years, governments around the world have been paying high attention to the issue of sustainable development. As a corporate citizen of the world, we have the responsibility and obligation to shoulder the responsibility of protecting the environment, fulfilling corporate social responsibility, and striving to enhance corporate competitiveness while taking good care of our employees. At the same time, we must comply with various international conventions and standards.
Starting from the three aspects of people, things, and objects, I would like to share some perspectives with you to encourage us to work together to practice:
- Talent cultivation, cherishing talents, teamwork, inheritance from generation to generation, happy enterprise, sustainable management
Talent cultivation is the driving force and foundation of Croslene's sustainable development. In addition to continuous self-improvement, management cadres should also cultivate young people to serve as the future successors of Croslene. Talents will never be enough. Relevant departments should complete talent recruitment, training, and retention as soon as possible to meet the needs of Croslene's medium- and long-term plans.
We provide employees with a safe and healthy workplace environment, such as the renovation of dormitories for foreign workers, strengthening the occupational safety responsibility of all employees, implementing ISO 14000/45001 management, and promoting hazard prevention and risk control. Through external education and training and emergency response activities, we create a safe working environment and implement the environmental protection and safety policy of "safety first, cherish resources, fulfill commitments, and continuous improvement."
- Product innovation and application that integrates green energy and environmental protection, and collaborates with customers and supply chains to establish an environmentally friendly business model
Product innovation and application, such as the development of high-value-added product applications such as lithium batteries, power batteries, and energy storage devices, will be Croslene's niche products in the next stage. In addition, the introduction of bio-based materials and the development of new products must take into account environmental needs. Continuing to research and develop better and more environmentally friendly products will be Croslene's future development direction and endeavor.
In the future, ESG will be a very important factor in the survival and competition of the chemical industry. Our strategy is to proactively respond to ESG through the introduction of systems and incorporate various planning measures into the SOP of operations and management. At the same time, we will cooperate with customers, supply chain partners, and other partners to establish an environmentally friendly business model.

Updating aging equipment, introducing energy-saving and carbon-reducing facilities, expanding the scope of improvement, and committing and practicing zero net emissions
Croslene is a factory with over 40 years of history. The original planning did not take into account today's development. We have many old and outdated equipment that urgently need to be updated. This is both a crisis and an opportunity. We hope to accelerate the environmental impact assessment and carry out the future investment improvement plan in the next year.
In response to the needs of sustainable development and energy conservation and carbon reduction, in line with the government's carbon reduction target of 2030 and even net zero emissions of 2050, we have initially promoted carbon inventory and will introduce energy management systems. We are also working hard to integrate with the community, adopt community trails, and participate in beach cleaning activities to do our part for Taiwan and the Earth.
Looking to the future, we deeply understand that only by grasping the opportunity of the low-carbon economy can we have a new foothold in the industry. In the process of global transformation and development driven by the epidemic, we are brave to face various ESG challenges and hope to play the greatest influence and create a better tomorrow for the next generation.
